We Have a Winner!

Saturday, January 3, 2009

A huge thank you(!) again to each one who participated in our just concluded "Tis the Season Photo Journal Challenge"! Even to those who planned to join but got sidetracked by the holiday rush, we are honored with your participation. :-)

So without further ado, our gracious judge, Staci Dumoski (Managing Editor of Life Images & Artful Blogging magazines by Stampington & Company), fresh from holiday fever sent us through email her winning choice. And drum roll please... it's none other than...

"Nakaka-senti ang Pasko"
by Aurora Lim

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this; it was fun to look at everyone's submissions and see how they interpreted the theme. Though all the photos were great, as the winner I must choose Nakaka-senti ang Pasko by by Au Lim. The beautiful, unposed portrait of her grandmother and accompanying journaling tell a story that touched my heart, and is a perfect captured moment that shows the complex emotions that can accompany holiday celebrations.
Also, we have a runner-up and Staci picks:

"Parol"
by Luigi Rubiano

If I'm allowed to mention a runner up, it would be Luigi Rubiano's Lantern, which is just a lovely photo, full of holiday cheer. All the submissions were great, and I hope all your readers will continue to photograph the moments of their lives and write about them, creating a treasury of images and thoughts that will be cherished for years to come.

Thank you all and may we all have a wonderful year ahead!
